What is SVSD?

SVSD is an organization comprised of Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing people working together with a common goal of one day opening a resource center for the Deaf and hard of hearing in Hampton Roads Virginia.

Primary Goals of SVSD

7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
When:

● Promote the education and well-being of the Deaf community at large.
●Offer opportunities for social and cultural enrichment for both Deaf and hearing people.

● Educate the public on providing communication access and equal opportunities for Deaf persons in our community.
● Educate the public as well as the Deaf community as to our LEGAL rights under the American's with Disabilities Act of 1993.
● Fundraising and writing grants to finance Hampton Road's first ever Resource Center for the Deaf.
